Safety Center
2Help connects adults who request and offer help. Every interaction involves independent people and may carry real-world risk. Use this guidance together with the Community Guidelines and your own judgment.
1. Emergencies
2Help is not an emergency service. If anyone is in immediate danger, leave the situation if you can do so safely and contact local emergency services. Do not wait for a response from 2Help.
Do not use an ordinary request or chat to coordinate urgent medical care, active rescue, law enforcement, fire response, domestic-violence intervention, or another time-critical emergency. Follow instructions from competent local authorities.
2. Assess the person and request
- Review the profile, description, history, ratings, and consistency of information, but do not treat any signal as a guarantee.
- Ask clear questions about the scope, location, participants, timing, compensation, tools, transportation, hazards, and expected outcome.
- Be cautious if someone pressures you to act immediately, avoid written details, keep the interaction secret, or move communication and payment away from ordinary channels.
- For regulated or high-risk work, independently verify identity, credentials, permits, references, and insurance with the issuing source.
- Decline or stop if information is inconsistent or the situation feels unsafe. You do not owe anyone an in-person meeting.
3. Keep material terms in writing
Use Platform messages to record the agreed work, price or free status, approved expenses, date, location, cancellation terms, and special conditions. Do not rely only on a phone call or verbal promise. Preserve relevant messages and receipts until the interaction and any dispute are resolved.
4. Safer in-person meetings
- For a first meeting, use a public, well-lit location when the activity allows.
- Tell a trusted person who you are meeting, where, and when you expect to finish. Arrange a check-in.
- Use your own transportation and keep your phone charged and accessible.
- Do not bring an undisclosed person. Confirm who will be present, including children, pets, residents, workers, or customers.
- Do not arrive impaired by alcohol, drugs, exhaustion, or medication that makes the activity unsafe.
- Respect boundaries and leave immediately if asked, if conditions materially change, or if weapons, threats, illegal activity, or unexpected hazards are present.
5. Home and property access
- Limit access to the areas and time necessary for the agreed help.
- Secure valuables, medication, documents, financial information, weapons, keys, and access devices.
- Never share a permanent alarm code, account password, or unrestricted smart-home access when temporary access is possible.
- Do not photograph or record private premises, documents, children, or residents without permission.
- Return keys, badges, equipment, and records promptly. Remove temporary access when the interaction ends.
6. Tools, transport, and physical work
Confirm who provides tools and protective equipment. Do not use equipment you are not trained or authorized to operate. Stop when weather, structure, electricity, gas, traffic, animals, heights, hazardous materials, lifting weight, or other conditions create unacceptable risk.
Vehicle use and passenger transport may require a valid license, registration, inspection, commercial authorization, and insurance. Verify requirements and never ride with an impaired or unsafe driver.
7. Professional and high-risk help
Use an appropriately licensed, insured, and qualified professional for medical or mental-health care, legal representation, financial advice, childcare, eldercare, personal care, security, emergency response, electrical or gas work, structural construction, hazardous materials, or other regulated and high-risk activity.
Information or a profile on 2Help is not professional verification. Do not act on a diagnosis, prescription, legal conclusion, investment instruction, or safety-critical direction from an unverified user.
8. Payment and scam prevention
- Agree on the full price, currency, included costs, expenses, milestones, and payment timing before work begins.
- Do not share one-time codes, full card details, bank credentials, seed phrases, private keys, or remote device access.
- Treat unexpected overpayments, fake checks, advance-fee requests, gift-card demands, cryptocurrency-only demands, refund transfers, and “safe account” instructions as warning signs.
- Do not receive or forward money or packages for someone you do not know. You may be used as a money mule or intermediary for stolen property.
- Do not release goods, access, or funds based only on a screenshot or message claiming payment. Verify through the actual provider.
9. Digital privacy
- Registration telephone numbers and email addresses are not displayed to other users by 2Help. Avoid placing them in public profile text or images.
- Share the minimum information needed. Do not send identity documents, medical records, financial statements, or images containing addresses unless essential and lawful.
- Use unique passwords and device protection. Never share authentication codes, including with someone claiming to be 2Help support.
- Be cautious with external links, file downloads, QR codes, and requests to install software or share your screen.
- Block and report accounts that pressure you for private information or unwanted contact.
10. Children and vulnerable people
2Help accounts are for adults. Do not arrange unsupervised access to a minor or vulnerable person through the Platform. A responsible adult must make lawful safeguarding arrangements and independently verify qualifications, screening, references, insurance, consent, and supervision. Report suspected exploitation immediately to local authorities and 2Help.
11. Harassment, discrimination, and sexual misconduct
No help arrangement creates consent to romantic or sexual contact, entry into private spaces beyond the agreed scope, or continued communication. Stop when consent is withdrawn. Leave and seek help if you experience threats, stalking, unwanted touching, coercion, discriminatory abuse, or pressure to keep misconduct secret.
12. Reporting and preserving evidence
Use in-app report or block controls where available, or email support@2help.app. Include the relevant account, approximate time, request or conversation, and a factual description. Preserve messages, transaction records, photos, and receipts, but do not put yourself at risk to collect evidence.
2Help may restrict an account, preserve relevant records, or refer serious matters to providers or authorities. A report to 2Help does not replace contacting emergency services, police, a payment provider, insurer, regulator, or court and does not pause any legal deadline.
13. Contact
Safety reports and support
For immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
